Embodied Movement
Embodied Movement Practice
TBA
We find ourselves in an interesting world at this time. There is much to take in, process, and move out.
The kind of change we're looking for is happening at a cellular level. The mind is needed for these changes yes, but the deep wisdom required lives in the body. And movement connects us to it.
"The deep wisdom required lives in our bodies.
And movement connects us to it."
So let's go there. Let's explore and experience the knowing, safety, and security our bodies offer us.
They are waiting for us after all. And when we tap into them, the resounding and constant wisdom of our cells will be received.
Not only does movement guide us back to our bones,
our feet on the ground,
the solid earth beneath us,
it also can lead to:
calmer, clearer thinking;
improved sleep, mood, and happiness;
and it refuels our digestion, our inner fire, our connection to our hearts.
It lines us back up with what's important to us so we can easily move in that direction.
Our practice will include conscious exploration of the body through movement influenced by Yoga, Free-form Dance, and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE). This practice is suitable for all but will be best received by those with awareness of the subtle physical, energetic, and emotional material that can arise through movement.

Natalie Brewer, Coach and Womb Wisdom Facilitator
Natalie has been guiding women to connect with their bodies for over 10 years. She recognizes the profound wisdom that lives in all of us, and the power that comes with knowing that, with listening and attuning to it. Natalie's also been guiding movement for over a decade. The roots of it came from several years as a gymnast, and then a direct and tangible connection to Yoga and it's spiritual aspects. |
Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) training showed her how to body can hold memories and has the built in ability to release emotion, energetic stagnation, and trauma around those memories. Dance has always lived in her spirit but the real connection came through with conscious movement practices such as Yoga Trance Dance, 5Rhythms, and Ecstatic Dance. The latter was experienced at a Yoga Retreat Center on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2016 which she then brought home to Fredericton, NB.
What appreals to Natalie about sharing these practices is that they provide the client, mover, being with the knowing that they are capable of loving and healing themselves as movement is inherent. It's in your breathe, your body, the trees, the river. All of life is moving and healing. It's time to tap in.
