What is Dancing with the Elements?
Free-form movement attuned to the qualities of the Elements.
What does that mean? :)
That you get to move and shake as you choose!
There is gentle guidance and a bit of a framework offered (the Elements piece) but you are free to interpret it in your own way in your own body. You might choose to move slowly; you might choose to move fast; it all works.
Our main purpose is to explore and have fun!
Do I have to sign up for the 4 weeks?
No, you can join in anytime and do as many or as few classes as you'd like.
You won't feel behind if you miss any of the classes, ie. join in later. You'll find your groove whenever you are ready to.
I don't have any dance experience. Can I still come?
No dance experience required. Please do join us!
I'm not very fit...
In this class you get to go at your own pace.
You can take breaks, breathe, meditate, at any point.
I always encourage participants to honour their bodies throughout the class.
I'm nervous to dance with other people...
That's okay! Our community is made up of many people who were also nervous to dance in a group at one point but now they find it so natural. If you let yourself, you'll remember how natural it is too!
